Bach Flowers

“Health depends upon being in Harmony with our souls”. – Dr. Edward Bach

Each of the 38 remedies discovered by Dr. Bach is directed at a particular characteristic or emotional state.

Bach flower remedies are dilutions of flower material developed by Edward Bach, an English bacteriologist, pathologist and homeopath, in the 1930’s. Bach believed that dew found on flower petals retain healing properties of that plant.

Bach Flower treatment specifically addresses the emotional body of the energy system. Its purpose is to restore emotional harmony.

Bach Flowers treat specific shades of emotion. For example, they address sadness, despair, hopelessness, irritability, rage, resentment, panic, worry, concern about family members, uncertainty, self-doubt, shyness, lethargy, overwhelm, pain without physical cause, impulsivity, agitation, procrastination, daydreaming, vague anxieties, specific phobias and any other disturbing emotion.

Philosophy

Bach thought of illness as the result of a conflict between the purposes of the soul and the personality’s actions and outlook. This internal war, according to Bach, leads to negative moods and to energy blocking, which causes a lack of “harmony”, thus leading to physical diseases.

Bach was satisfied with the method, because of its simplicity, and because it involved a process of combination of the four elements:

The earth to nurture the plant, the air from which it feeds, the sun or fire to enable it to impart its power, and water to collect and be enriched with its beneficent magnetic healing.

Bach flowers help us to remember our true selves.

The beauty of Bach flowers is that they help to clear away the negative emotional clutter that builds up; helping us to see more clearly our inner beauty, goodness and calm. Think of Bach flowers as a cleaning company for the soul.
